During Hurricane Sandy my pilots' association coordinated local relief efforts for victims on the east coast. Within 2 days of putting the word out for donations, my flight school was inundated with blankets, water, food, and clothes for those in need. We had to weigh everything (for balancing the loading of the planes) and work with the receiving airport in NY. Air traffic control allowed special dispensation for pilots flying 'compassion flights' and prioritized our traffic. It was an incredible volunteer effort all around.
For the May Hoarders challenge I dug into my way-back stash and fished out a protracter (to make the 'circle'), my Fiskar's cutting tool and punch (stars), old origami paper (orange), and the hardly ever used and I remember why (painful) label maker.
