Give a Cheer
I made this silly card for my dad for Fathers Day using a filmstrip die, the Lawn Fawn Mom + Me stamp set, and part of a sentiment from the Greeting Farm I Love Dad stamp set.
I wanted to create a CAS (clean and simple) card with a kind of family portrait of foxes representing my family (from top to bottom: sister, brother, Dad, me, and mom). I die cut the stitched rectangle card front for a little added detail, and I also popped up the filmstrip and sentiment up on double sided foam adhesive for some interest and dimension.
I Copic colored the foxes and used the coordinating dies to cut out all the foxes. I added little flowers to all the female foxes and hand fussy cut those out so as not to leave a white border.
The funny sentiment inside says: "Thanks for the genes that provided my crazy good looks!"
I know my dad will get a kick out of this card, because he often talks about one of the main reasons he married my mom was that he knew she was smart, and he wanted his kids to be smart and good looking! LOL
