I've been wanting to scrapbook this picture for a very long time. It's a picture of me in 1999 when I was 16 with my favorite Great Aunt, my Dad's Auntie Elizabeth. I had saved up money from my job at a grocery store to pay for a bus ticket to go down to Kentucky from Connecticut to see her. I spent a week with her at the Convent and I loved it. She told me wonderful stories of her life growing up with her sisters, my Great Auntie Marjorie (also a Nun) and my Nana (Dad's Mom). Being 16, I only half listened and had forgotten about lot of it. My Dad's brother and sister in law, my favorite Aunt Donna, came down for a visit the last weekend I was there. The 3 of them drove me to the bus station the day I was leaving and Aunt Donna got this picture of Auntie Elizabeth and I. I'm so grateful she did because Auntie Elizabeth passed a little over 6 months later.
My song for May's Music Inspiration Challenge is "More than a Woman" by the Bee Gees. Auntie Elizabeth was amazing. She was kind, loving, strong, selfless, hard working. I love her immensely and miss her terribly. I used the words "I, lose, you and love" from the song.
