I made this for our friend Carrie (Dear Zae) when I found out she had a birthday coming up real soon. I knew it would probably be late and I was in between projects so I put this together pretty quickly using all scraps! The focal piece was an embellishment I had made awhile back for a challenge on one of the groups I belong to on FB (Glue Gun Chronicles). The challenge was to use a part from a ribbon spool, be it one of the end pieces or the spool itself. I used one of the end pieces by covering both sides with scrap paper and a K & Company floral sticker. Added lace around the edge and that's it!

The trim bordering the edge was from the Salvation Army store. (Love that stuff!) I embossed the purple and green papers using Darice Damask embossing folder and sanded the green raised edges on the green. (That works only on papers with white underlay. Solid colored papers won't work.)
