I often use pattern paper for my backgrounds which saves me a lot when adding embellishments! I always manage to find room for more!!
While I did use a sketch for inspiration for this layout, I did not use the sketch to design my page. I just used the Mickey head idea. Of course the round Mickey head did not fit with the picture I wanted to use so I had to "re-shape" it in DS then cut it with my Cricut so an oval photo would work!! I just made it big enough to fit my die, then squished in the sides to make and round head oval!
