My LO was made for the July Music Inspiration Challenge inspired by"Bet U Wish U Had Me Back" by Halestorm. The title, Bet Uke Wish... is a play on the song's title. The twist ribbon can be seen behind my cat illustration.
The patterned paper is a really cool Hawaiian print and I couldn't bear to cover it all, so I used an ExactO knife to lift some of the petals above the other layers.
My boyfriend and I made hipster purchases a few years ago, he a ukulele and I a rad cat necklace. The print I have on hand was a misprint with a fuzzy white border that blocks the cat necklace, but the drawing in the upper right corner captures the spirit of it.
