I think I've spent more time trying to store and organize than scrapping or artsy practice.
A trip to Harbor Freight for a miter saw & lumber yard for thin paneling, pegs & trim/stain got the paper shelves for the narrow bookcases. Angling the paper on a small piece of trim allows me to obsess over the papers/kits I want to use.
After losing my mind trying to find stuff in shoeboxes, cheese boxes, baskets, totes, etc., I found my neatly stored DMC floss box easily and the lightbulb turned on. I've been buying up Plano tackle boxes with obsessive zeal as I fear the discontinuation of the sizes I've chosen. Epherma, woodcuts, beads, buttons, Finnabair pots, flowers, pen/pencil sets, etc. all have a home with a view. (I bought cosmetic jars off of Amazon for storing small things like seed beads, before stuffing into the boxes.)
The pastes, gesso, gels that won't fit in a clear Plano box are stored in some Sterilite boxes that are designed to stack on the one I've stored my water-based clones in. So much easier to grab than digging through the cheese boxes.
The paint brushes & pallet knives are in a thrift shop urn with my marbles.
Mason jars that were once used for canning when I had hungry mouths to feed, are now holding odds and ends that don't group well for tacklebox storage. The old photo boxes have paper epherma kits, stamps & other things that I've already forgotten about.
I hope this helps someone with their challenges!
