Love all the wealth of detail on this layout! That is a great color combo but I would never have thought to pair it with that photo. Good thing you trusted the Scrap By Color suggestion because it came out beautifully.
Gosh, Sharon. This turned out so pretty! I'm glad that you found the Scrap by Color feature so fun. I love playing with it and I'm always amazed at some of the color combinations it hands me. The lavender and moss are so VERY heritage in their tone. And your papers are perfect for a heritage project. Great job!
Beautiful.....what beautiful white hair on all of those ladies...I see where you get yours???? LOL Delightful and charming page...I love the pose of the ladies and the beautiful colors you used.
Our challenge was to make a page of the oldest living generation.... the one in the middle is the oldest living relative on my moms side, the youngest sister.
I pulled out my rust paste to give the chipboard a major distressed look by applying different colors to make a gritty corner piece for the page. I started with vanilla paint on chip board, then added the brown, then red rust and lastly a touch of gold rust to bring out the yellow in the photo. I used several mists and stamps to color the rosettes before putting them together.
I used the Scrap by Color link for the very first time and was amazed at the combination of colors the site chose to work with for this photo. Here is the link.....https://www.scrapbook.com/color/ I only hope it does not take you to my photo. As I understand it, once YOU load a picture into the site it will stay there until you load another picture. Hopefully everyone will have their own "gallery" so to speak.
