Gringotts Dragon, page 1

- Text excerpt from Chapter 5 of Sorceror's Stone. It's hard to read here, but this is actually the line that made me want to use excerpts from the books on my pages. It is one of the most foreshadowy bits of foreshadowing in the books, and it is a long, long foreshadowing game, because in Chapter 5 of the first book of the series, Hagrid tells Harry, "They say there's dragons guarding the high-security vaults." Which, aside from a few bursts of fire Harry sees as they travel through the bank a few pages later, is the last you'll hear of dragons guarding the high-security vaults until *the middle of book 7*.
