What a gorgeous card! I love the colors you used - subtle, soft and understated, allowing all the amazing details to draw the eye around your lovely card. So beautiful!
It turned out beautifully, LC!! I love the soft color addition. I have been wanting to try making an all-white card too but for some reason I just don't have the courage! LOL
I love looking at these up close. The centers are amazing. By inking them they have light and darker edges and look so natural. Another idea I am filing away. Instead of cutting centers from yellow cardstock, they are so much prettier inked! Love the shaping of these beautiful flowers. You are a master at that. I love the gray on the edges of the leaves. Another beautiful innovative touch. Gorgeous card.
What a great idea to ink a white card in the same ink you use to add color to your flowers. I never think of things like that! I'm filing that away to use the next time I don't have ink to match my cardstock! This card is beautiful. I love the touches of pale pink and love the lace with pink ribbon over it. Those flowers are incredible. They have just the perfect amount of pink ink to make them stand out and still blend in with the embossed white background. Lovely.
It is always good to think outside of your box & stretch & grow & you certainly did that with this lovely card! This is my kind of card, right? Your flowers are stunning & the embossed bg with the lace is so perfect! A total fave for me!:)
This card is slightly outside my normal style. I had originally planned on creating an all white card but decided to add some soft inking. It reminds me of one of those black and white photos that have just a hint of color added. I embossed the back panel with an Anna Griffin folder by CB. I made the flowers using Tim Holtz tattered florals dies. The centers are from a Dee's Distinctively poinsettia die set. I inked the petals with MFT dye ink in Pink Lemonade and the centers in Daffodil also by MFT. I also brushed Nuvo glitter gloss on the flowers and leaves to add some shimmer. (I think the second photo captures it bit.) I used LF dye ink in Manatee to ink the leaves and the edges of the white piece of lace. Sheer pink ribbon was added over top of the center of the lace. To create the pink mat, I inked the edges of a piece of white cardstock with the same Pink Lemonade ink I used on the petals to get a perfect match.
Thank you so very much for your kindness and encouragement! I appreciate it more than I can say.
