Hi! Again, thanks for letting us use your layout. The blog post is now live and you can check it out here: https://scrapbookcampus.com/2021/07/shells/ :)
I love Dixie Crossroads!! Living in Orlando, I don't go that often but only order their rockshrimp because we can't get them everywhere!! Your layout made me drool!! Love them!
Oh my gosh...you have me drooling all over my keyboard at the seafood. It looks so yummy. Your layout turned out wonderfully. I really like your choice of papers and the margarita is terrific on this. Margarita and seafood....you are my kind of gal!
Beautiful layouts Susan, and I love the way you cut the glass out! It really looks cool like that - perfect idea! I have been craving seafood and now you just sent the seafood craving into overdrive! Now I'm not just craving it - gotta have it! I don't know why, but I particularly enjoy restaurant layouts and this one is perfect!
Glad you left the Margarita glass in because their are one of my favorite drinks. Great, now I want a cold strawberry margarita. The food looks delicious.
Believe it or not I started with this monthly 1 page sketch (#4) and it morphed into this! You can see the basic design. The problem was the margarita pic - I could not find a way to include it without messing up the rest of the design. I put it away for a couple of days and then came back to it. I figured I could just cut the drink glass out. I also needed room for some journaling. Old stash - Basic Grey & Bazzill all scraps. The paper clip is from a recent RAK from Vivian from her recent challenge.
Journaling: Friday after Thanksgiving and after a horrendous push by Dennis and Brian to get the big stuff into storage, we were all ready to eat out. Late dinner at Dixie Crossroads– they advertise great seafood. First they bring a bowl of corn fritters to the table – and boy are they good! Dusted with powdered sugar they are addictive! Brian wanted some oysters for appetizer – think they were broiled. Dennis and I tried them and approved! I can't remember what Brian and Jen had but Dennis had Crab Cakes and I had the Broiled Platter. My platter had shrimp, rock shrimp and scallops- yum – especially the rock shrimp (they are sweeter than regular shrimp)! There were choices for sides – pick 2. Dennis and I had the Cajun shrimp soup and coleslaw. When Dennis and I came back a second time in December we ordered an appetizer of rock shrimp – delicious!
