Give a Cheer
My sister lost the bespoke birthday card I made for my nephew's birthday, but he was so gracious and good natured about the whole thing that I decided to make him another card.
I made this almost-single layer card using a cute beaver from an old Whimsy Stamp set called Furry Friendships, which I Copic colored. I also used a Balzer Designs Heart Swirls Stencil and some Distress Inks to create a "watery" background. For the punny sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed, "you're chewly special" (also from the stamp set) on a strip of vellum. To balance the visual weight of the dark beaver tail, I added a die cut strip from the MFT Die-Namics Blueprings 15 and blended on the same Distress Inks to create an ombre gradation. Lastly for some little sparkly finishing touches, I added some 4mm and 6mm clear droplets to, again, reference water and add some shine.
