A summertime card for the theme category in the August Inspirational Card Challenge (sun or sunrise/sunset colors...) I blended Distress inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock to create a summer sunset background for my flamingo and palm tree stickers (from Marylou - Thank you sweet Marylou!!!) I added a layer of vellum to the back of my stickers then fussy cut them which allowed me to pop them up and minimize the appearance of the pop dots. I matted my scene with gold glitter cardstock and added a sentiment from Tim Holtz Small talk stickers. The black and white striped background is from Bella Blvd and I die cut it using my YNS stitched rectangle die. I created a base mat to match the colors in my sunset by once again blending Distress inks. Black and white twine (from Robin - Thank you dear Robin!!!) with a gold Doodlebug sprinkle finishes it off.
