Just looking at this photo and I am instantly relaxed. Took this during my vacation earlier this month on the coast of Washington State with my parents and kids. We took the RV out to Willapa Bay for a couple nights. The weather surprised us by being much cooler than we'd packed for, but it was still such a relaxing trip that it didn't matter. We were able to go down to the beach, play around the campsite and sit out under the sky. Since it was overcast, 'starlight' wasn't exactly my view, but I was outside in front of a fire with a glass of wine and s'mores, so I'm counting it! LOL

Funny story here: I am a BIG fan of s'mores and always insist on having them when we go camping - as if the kids would ever argue with me there... HA! This trip we (shockingly) ran out of chocolate the first night so Dad and I walked down to the KOA's store the next day to get some more. I had the good ol' traditional Hershey bars in hand and Dad suggested 'how about we try Mr. Goodbar for the adults?' Well.... let me tell you, that is a HIT! The nuts go rather well with the toasted marshmallows! Hard to beat the original Hershey's, but Mr. Goodbar does make an excellent stand-in - especially when paired with the 'house' red!

This is primarily for the Music Inspiration Challenge. My song was "Ellan Vannin" by Rodin Gibb and the Bee Gees. As soon as I read lyrics to this beautiful song the lines I used in my title jumped out at me. I knew I'd do something about summer days turning into summer nights. I had several different photos to choose from, including a cute pic of the kiddos eating their s'mores, but I just felt this photo embraced those words better. I needed this vacation so badly and, having my parents there with the kids helped because I was able to step away at times and just breathe in the coastal air, walk in the forest and sit and enjoy a glass of wine under the (covered) stars.

This is also for the 5 Ingredients challenge using 3+ patterned papers, one photo, large title, arrow(s) and flair. We all had a good giggle about the flair (because I cannot think of flair without thinking of Jennifer Aniston in Office Space!

Anywho, also for a few other challenges: Sports & Play (play of course!), wooden embellie (one tiny wood camera), Indefinite FOODIE challenge (YAAY I finally got one!), National S'mores Day (duh) and National Campfire Day (also duh) and my Hoarders Challenge. I used the little fire pit and some gold paper stars from a very, very old embellie pack my mom got me as well as finally breaking into that DCWV 'Celestial' paper pad I really had to have last Spring for the bg of the title!

TFL!
