So this may seem strange, but it's based on piece of art I saw earlier this year. The art was a white suit covered entirely in buttons with red thread. It was amazing. I can't imagine sewing that many buttons. I started with corrugated cardboard, slathered on white sand texture paste, gessoed, painted with acrylic paint, highlighted the texture with Prima wax, sewed buttons with three different colors of orange thread (because I like orange), created my composition with buttons and heavy body gel, and sprinkled with micro beads. It's different and I'm very happy with the results. TFL
