How lucky to play with a handmade toy by grandpa! Love your marbles and all the journaling you incorporated into this page. Topher is definitely fascinated with the Marble Machine.
Wow, your lo's are so perfect, totally enjoy reading your journaling, something I totally cannot do. How long does it take you to make one lo? I struggle for hours, sometimes days in doing one. Beautiful details.
How clever to figure out how to make this! That is awesome - and he looks so focused on it! I love that he can make things in his workshop like this for the grandkids. What special memories for all for all the grandkids. The jar of marbles is a great addition!
Love this story, wooden toy, and the way you captured the moment in this page. This page really tells the story in such a fun way. I like how you pages have a story book feel to them. Great job!
The jar and marbles are spectacular! Grandpa sounds like a wonderful and creative person. That picture really shows how much your grandson enjoyed the escalator.
Such a cute photo and great story. Toni's right you are the best grandparents! I absolutely love the marbles you made with your Silhouette and the jar they are in!
Between you and your DH, you make the best grandparents...ever! What a super cute page, and I love your description of how DH's wood escalator using Marbles (or m&m's) work. I can see why the kids would be so fascinated by all of his woodworking skills. It's so great that you both are so involved in your children and grandchildren's lives. Super, super cute page.
Thanks for your Irma well wishes and we're all safe and accounted for. I used to love shootin' marbles and your jar with them look just like the ones I had, especially the clear ones with the 3-D shapes inside. So who thought of the clever way to get chocolate???
This is just darling!! LOVE the little marbles you added with the jar and what a cute cute story! Grandpa sounds very much like my DS's Papa... with a fascinating woodshop of things to investigate!
That looks like a VERY cool toy! I got my nephews something similar when they were about this size and they played with it up into their late elementary school years. The jar idea is a lot of fun for this page.
What a sweet page featuring an adorable photo of your grandson and a great story! Your journaling is first-rate. The last sentence made me giggle. I love the marble jar and the cute multicolored marbles. Such a perfect fit for this page. The way you added the date is a great stylistic touch. As always your title is terrific! Creativity certainly abounds at your house.
I"m betting the peanut M & M's only make one trip around, though! LOL What a fun toy, and what a precious photo. I love the fact that this is a pretty simple page that focuses on the journaling and lets that photo be center stage. Fantastic job!
What a cute page!!! I love how you split the story with your title (gotta find that cut file on Silhouette; it's a good one!) The hand made marble jar is adorable. Wonderful work!
How fun! Grandpa is really good at his hobby! What a great talent to have and I am so glad his workshop is working out and that you aren't getting sick anymore! I wondered if part of your paper didn't show up when I saw the stars up there all alone! You have scrapped another great page! You told the story in such a great way. Love it!
What a lucky little guy to have a grandpa that knows how to create such a cool thing and a grandma who can scrap it. Cool jar of marbles. Great photo.. inspirational story.
Such a creative family you have, and I'm including you in that! ;0) Love the look of intensity on his face, perfect photo capture! Also love the way you broke up the journaling w/ the title!
For some reason the blue patterned paper at the top did not show up. There are 2 strips of different patterns of "I Do" line.
It seems that grandpa always has something new and interesting that he has built when the grandchildren come. This marble escalator is addicting.
Journaling:Topher loves Grandpa's newest creative toy and spent a lot of time lifting the marbles and watching them roll down to start the journey up again.
Grandpa is always trying new things in his Wood Shop. Eric sent him a picture of a Marble Escalator and within a day he had figured out how to build it. His first was a prototype but he modified it and made a better one. By turning a crank handle, cams underneath raise the bottom step which lifts a marble to the next step, then the next step and on up with each turn of the crank until it reaches the top of the escalator where it rolls down to be lifted up again. We have found it works great with Peanut M&Ms too.
