I really LOVE that you included your technique tutorial in the description. I wish more of us did that - it's always so interesting to see exactly HOW artists achieve a particular look, and it's educational as well because it makes those techniques "do-able" for those of us who struggle to figure it out .... I can't count the number of times I look at a page and wonder, "how did she DO that???" So thanks for that. And those eagle photos are fantastic. We have them here in Oklahoma at the local power company lake - they winter here because the fishing is protected and good. Unfortunately, because it's the power plant, the access to SEEING them is extremely limited. Sometimes DH and I get to go back there an wander around, since he works for the company, but it's definitely a wilderness and it's not easy to access. But seeing these birds in the wild definitely makes the hike worth it.
This layout was eye catching as soon as I saw it. I love the elements you have added. The photos are absolutely stunning. You always manage to capture the most amazing shots.
OMW!!! This is stunning and gorgeous!!! Such amazing photo's so beautifully scrapped! Awesome title work and i am just in love with all the dragonflies on here!!! Love all the inking and embossing techniques, learning so much from you!
Well, I've had these acrylic circles for so long - and I've been saving them for the right page - and I decided this one was it! I think almost everything on these pages have been in my stash forever and finally it just all came together. :-) I stamped the dragonfly (originally in black, but then changed to gold) and I used alcohol inks to color the acrylic circle, then I added a chipboard circle frame on top and raise them up from from the dragonfly. I embossed the frame in black, and embossed the "adventure" in gold and UTEE, and just used UTEE (ultra thick) on the epic - it was already the perfect color! I used some back embossing powder on the chipboard "I'm smiling" and used a Faber Castel Black pen on the edges. I had two metal dragonflies - of course they weren't the right color so I embossed them in gold (one for each page :-), I had these awesome gold leaves and flowers, added a some gold embossing on the back (the other dragonflies were already on the paper) and a little bling and a small tag on the top (wow, until I wrote this down I didn't realize this one was so labor intensive. . .didn't seem like it at the time. . . it was too fun! LOL)
