An excellent lift of the original with your own touches and interpretation! Love that it is a service tribute! My husband is a veteran and our grandson-in-law is serving in the Air Force.
This is a beautiful unique page. This is absolutely gorgeous with perfectly balanced colors and beautiful bg papers, The tribute to veterans of past present and future. This page was worth taking time and putting every piece in the perfect place along with the images. I have so much respect for the men and women who serve their country. We are a military family, my great-grandfather, my grandfather, my Dad and brothers, cousins in Vietnam and my son and nephew who all proudly serve. Thank you for the way you gave honor to all
This is over the top fantastic!! Definitely a layout that requires loving consideration and patience in getting all the elements just right - I really feel your passion to commemorate this tribute and best of luck to all your military friends and family!
I LOVE the little yo-yo flowers! They're so vintage feeling and when you fray the edges and add a little rustic twine, it just adds to their charm. I think I want to do some of those again soon! I see you're working in blues at the moment. That's such a soft and peaceful color - great for a historical project that makes you ponder what might have been had things been different.
This is a layout I made for the Gallery Inspiration challenge for August. I was late but I really loved the page picked for me and wanted to do it. It was inspired by Kathi 2's layout - Savannah -
I made the 3 flowers by cutting out the circles, distressing the edges and scrunching up the paper. They are then held together with the brads. This project took me a few days to complete as I needed to wait for modelling paste to dry and then I kept coming back and adding more as I was not entirely happy. It was supposed to be last month's page but it took nearly a month to decide on the papers and then work out the photos! I really loved hers so this is of my daughter at the Spirit of Anzac display that we went to in April as a commemoration of the 100 years after the original Anzacs. It reflects the thanks that we give our veterans as on the cross is a message to my best friend's children who are in the service - one air force one former army who went to Afghanistan at the age of 20. Bravery and courage that my daughter's are now on the journey to achieving as well. I hope I did her and our past and future heroes justice.
