Sharing a layout I made for another niece. I'm about done with gifts to my nieces and nephews. There are a couple I never hear from and have distanced themselves from family and a few others I don't think would even want a layout so that's about it from me. I just wanted to make most of my nieces and nephews these layouts before I get too old and decrepit to make anymore! LOL

This is Elliott and I finally got to meet him in CA last year. Such a funny and sweet little guy.

Not a lot of technique work on this, most embellies. I will say that the cardboard background paper was from some packaging, in a calendar I think, and I had to tear away the smooth top to get to the corrugation part! What a job that was and my fingers sure got sore from it. I didn't have ANY papers I liked with the picture so I came up with this. I inked in the ridges and thought it matched the ripples in the water pretty well.

The red buttons to the left of the picture were from my Mom's button tin so that adds a little specialness to it. My son Sam brought me two long pieces of wood that he had shaved off some 2x4s for a table he was making. He thought I could use it on something and I liked it so well I used a piece on this layout. The belt piece is one I had and outgrew! The denim loops were from some worn out jeans my son Dan had! The little pants and shirt paper clips were given to me a long time ago from my former boss's wife. the Blue Moon chain was from Joann's. The zipper pieces were from Sam's old Dickies. The smaller red buttons were from my stash. Oh yes, the clear and white phrases in the frame boxes are packaging from some Prima flowers I had.

Thank you very much for visiting my gallery, friends!

Special thanks to:
Marylou (Meggie's Nana) for the three layers of paper and the blue vellum that were from a paper stack that she sent me awhile back.
Caroline (Bishsticks) for all of the buttons on the wood shaving except the red ones. She sent me these with my pocket letter a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe how they perfectly matched the colors in the pictures! I used every last one of them!!
Amy Voorthuis for the "snapshot" and framing chippies.
