Fall is only a day on the calendar where I live. Local lore is that the license plates change color, not the leaves. So if I want fall leaves in my house, they have to be imported or made. When I was homeschooling we had an art project one year to make fall leaves from those old crayon stubs that are too short to use, but you feel guilty throwing away. I turned out to be one of my favorite projects and I've reused the leaves over again most years since. The ridiculous pink ones at the back of the photo are how they start before being dipped/dragged in the melted crayon. I don't have as many as I would like and plan on making some more. Hopefully the finished project will make an appearance in the AGC photos in a day or two - fingers crossed!
If you've stayed with my long-winded ramble this far, thank you! You are a saint!
