Journaling: Shasta Lake? Pfft...not for this long-time Redding resident! The tourist can have it. I, on the other hand, love everything about our second lake, Whiskeytown Lake. It is beautiful sitting like a gem nestled in the valley below Buckhorn Summit. And the story of the town sitting at the bottom of the lake has always peaked my imagination. My children grew up playing in this lake during our sweltering summers. Now their children have discovered the magic that is Whiskeytown.
