I've had a chipboard Poodle from Leaky Shed Studios in my stash for years. I've also had an unopened package of wood veneer sheets for about the same amount of time. And I can't even guess how long these word rub-ons have been in my stash!
I finally got all these things out and started some holiday crafting. I used the chipboard poodle as a stencil and cut the wood sheets around it with a cutting blade. Using a fine detail pair of scissors to smooth out any rough patches or uncut nooks and crannies. For the angel poodle, that will be for my sister who lost her poodle, Zoe, this year, I hand cut angel wings that I added along the back on both sides of the pup.
To personalize the ornaments, I used rub on words to spell out "Biscuit" using the "s" from "special," and the rest from: "Birthday Girl" - the "c" was the front part of the "d" and the "u" was the top part of the "y". "believe" was taken as-is for the angel poodle.
Lastly I added a pop of color with red satin ribbon and red and white bakers twine for hanging loops and bows.
