While at work Wednesday November 15 I was taking a bag into the supply room because I had just sorted out our lost and found. Walking toward the back of the long narrow room my left foot caught on the walker and I went down forehead first and heard my head thunk and then I was so surprised to see so much blood and it was mine! I got up and walked to the open door and called out for my supervisor Carol. She walked in and saw the blood and ran to get paper towels so I could stop the bleeding she then went to get wet paper towels so I pressed on my wound and told her what had happened. They were talking 911 and I said I don't need 911 but they had already made the call.

So Carol took this picture of me and she started cleaning up the second pile of blood and I said stop I want a picture! Unfortunately she had cleaned up the blood where I had fallen but Carol took this pic and I didn't have to wait long because 3 EMTs/Firemen showed up so I came out of the supply room and I saw the gurney but I sat in a chair. They were taking my vitals and one asked me if I knew where I was and what day it was? I was glad they didn't ask me who the president was because I would have probably said a bad word. Two more gentlemen had showed up and I told them I was fine and didn't need a gurney. They said they couldn't make me but they would like me to use the gurney. So I got on they strapped me in and I sat up perfectly straight so anyone looking would know I was fine plus I was embarrassed.

The firetruck left and I went into the ambulance where they started asking about the drugs I took if I had allergies, etc. Do you take a blood thinner and I said no but I he called off about 8 things that I guess were blood thinners and the only one I had ever heard of was Cumidin. I said I take quite a few drugs but none of those. They told me they had to do the questions right where we were because they would get in trouble if they did the questions at the hospital. I got it because our Kaiser is across the street from my workplace the library so the hospital was a block away. So we got going and I said what no siren of course they knew I was joking. So we stop at the nurse's station where I asked the EMT to take my picture before I got off of the gurney and they start to take me down the hall and when the nurse said room 13 and I said WHAT you're supposed to skip that number and the nurse said is she serious and the EMT told her I was just joking.

I had already talked to my hubby so he knew I was okay. Grant had to get my bags from Carol because that is where my keys were so he showed up right after. It wasn't fun anymore because I knew I had to get stitches and had not looked at the wound to see how big it was. Didn't have to wait too long doctor showed up and I only needed 3 stitches so it wasn't so bad.

Everyone was shocked that nothing hurt no aches or pains. I didn't get the raccoon eyes the doctor predicted I would. So when I thought about it I was so thankful that I didn't break my nose or any other injuries. So I had celebrated my 30 year at the library in October and had never had an accident at work but I feel lucky because it could have been worse.
P.S. Older son Victor is a union rep for Fremont Unified and told me to take anything they offered and there will be no co-pay mom. I appreciate what he said but I knew my workplace would take care of me.

I watched a video to see how to do the tattered florals but still not happy how they came our after I folded inked and used the ball tool. I think the paper is too heavy.
