Love this page cathe.....so out of your comfort Zone and mine....but yours turned out beautifully. I hope it was fun to do this page and its truly a wonderful memory for your grandchildren...they need to know their history. Its a great American story....for sure.
I am so impressed by the layout, Cathe. Your little grandson's remind me so much of their dad. You really are very creative. I am not sure I am talented enough to do so much by hand. As always I love your journaling!
What a heartwarming story to have captured for his album! You have done a wonderful creative page for the challenge!! I am very impressed that it is all done by hand. Something I could not accomplish!!!
Lo for one of my Grandchildren. Their grandparents left Lao when the Communists were taking over. Their story is harrowing. Our daughter has it recorded. This is for our monthly challenge on Rockin' Scrappin' Grans. This month's idea came from JoJo. We were to stretch our creativity by using mixed medium and a Layout by Catz. The twist was to make everything by hand! I did do that! I used a paper bag and paint, coordinated cardboard, ink pad, some other type of textured, light weight cardboard, and oxide ink. The very background was from a pad of paper sent to me by Di, one of the grans. Journaling: Your Mae tow and Pae tow were so brave to leave Laos. Your daddy fell in the river and Mae tow grabbed his hair and pulled him out!
