This is a poem I wrote when I was 16...
"Girl
I am a female
sixteen years of age.
I am one of the millions
of humans who
live life one day at a time,
step by step,
and makes lemonade
when someone hands me
lemons.
Overall, I love life.
I like pizza,
watching the stars at night,
and talking on the phone.
I love poetry, my family,
and strawberry ice cream.
I hate nothing.
I wish for world peace and the survival of morality
within all hearts.
I think it's a shame when
people waste their lives
on drugs and money.
I think it's wonderful when
people cherish their lives
by loving each other
and accepting whatever
comes their way.
I have feelings and don't
take them lightly.
I am a female
sixteen years of age.
I am just one girl."
