Journaling tag under the right photo reads:
As the title suggests, I don't know who these boys were. These photos, printed on postcards as was the custom of the day, were sent to my great grandmother Louisa, passed down to my grandmother and to my mom. The original of the one on the left has written on the back in a child's writing (in Italian) “Franco to Aunt Louisa, sending this photo with lots of loving kisses. Come soon and visit us.”
On the back of the original of the one on the right is simply written (in Italian) “with great affection to Louisa” and dated May 15, (19)49. While I don't know who they were, these pictures were just too perfect not to be scrapped.
