This is my very first pocket letter for Donna. I know that she likes vintage and this Blue Fern vintage Christmas paper arrived on my doorstep the very day I found out she was my swap partner so I knew it had to be. I like to use my BigZ dies to cut metal. I used 36 gauge brass for all of these diecuts (dove, ornament, cardinal, and sentiment). I then separately cut chipboard pieces and mounted the brass pieces to the chipboard. I also cut the corner pieces from brass. I used sealing wax with different stamps in pockets 1,2, and 7. If you look closely at the little girl in the center pocket she is reaching for an ornament that looks like a cameo. I glued the brass women's face to a vintage mother of pearl cabachon and placed it in pocket 2 directly above. I heat embossed the card in the envelope in pocket 1 with silver embossing powder and a Tim Holtz holiday postmark stamp. I used the same stamp set for the stamped ticket in pocket 1. Fabric swatch is from French General. One of my favorite pockets is probably the simplist: 9. I embellished the tree and it looked so pretty, I stopped with that and just added the brass corners.

It was so much fun making this for Donna. She is a terrific swap partner and boss. Thanks for looking.
