The design is perfect for this. The arrows draw your attention and the ripped paper is just enough visual interest without taking away from the photos. So glad to see you scrapping again.
Wonderful choice for a design lift. The colors are great for this subject and the torn paper is well done. Like the journaling addition as well. It tells a great story especially with the symbol featured in red in the LO center with the chevron arrows pointing right at it.
This is so interesting and I learned something. You really set the tone of this page with the tearing of the paper and then, inking. It is amazing and really adds to your layout.
Moscow, Russia 2017. Kolkhoz is the Russian word for female collective-farm worker. The statue was created in 1937 for the Paris Worlds Fair and then later moved to Moscow. The woman is raising a sickle and the man is lifting the hammer - creating the iconic hammer & sickle icon.
