Great LO, love the pps and title! Perfect title for a sensitive photo shoot...hate the kids growing up so fast! I’m sure your kids and grandkids will make this trip each year, it’s tradition!
love the title you used! I understand the happy yet sad feeling, watching my boys grow into young men has been an amazing journey! Love how you hand wrote your journaling, it will be a cherished memory many years from now!
You know, using arrows for a layout titled, "Moving On" is really a great use of symbolism. Arrows always point in a direction, so they indicate movement. I feel you're nostalgic sadness for the emptying of your nest, but as you move into the next phase of your life, there are so many things to celebrate - primary one for me is that THINGS STAY WHERE I PUT THEM! Great double page, Kathy. And it looks like a fantastic place to visit.
Ohhhhh...this is GORGEOUS! Love your combo of pps! I love the use of the doily on this. The row of mixed buttons really is terrific...I'm going to borrow that idea, too!
Wow!!! You did a wonderful job on the sketch challenge. Your layout is so pretty and I LOVE the buttons. How creative of you on the title with the doily. Well done.
Oh my Yes! they grow up so fast and one day you'll have wonderful grandchildren to spoil - but, alas they grow up, too. Great photos and wonderful 2 pager. AND you, my friend are looking awesome!
Well, I totally understand, they have to grow up and move away. My oldest grandson works weekends now, so I don't get to spend as much time with him as I used to, and it makes me sad. Nice tradition to have, hopefully it will continue with your grandkids. BTW, you are not wasting any time, this is a nice lo.
Beautiful two-page creation!!! I completely understand where you are coming from with the kiddos growing up. As much as they drive me nuts, sometimes, I get sad when my girls talk about moving on and out. Enjoy every moment you have with your angels while they are under your roof! Time flies!!
I used the Good Charlotte title - Movin'On - to title this. These were taken at the Hyde Park Fountain on our recent Sydney Christmas tour trip. Each year we have these photos and each year I look at how the children have changed. This year our eldest was missing as he had work. Next Christmas maybe it will be Cody missing as she begins her Navy career this year. These are happy times and yet sad as they grow and move on. I am happy because they are my kids and I am proud of them and sad that they are growing up and moving on. Who knows, in the future they may - if so blessed - bring their families along for the tradition. Made for the January 2 page sketch, January ABCs - aqua, buttons and cherish, and the Music Challenge. Thanks for taking the time to share my memory.
