Prompt #22 ~ On My Desk

Technically, it's on my TABLE, but that's a nuance that isn't really worth pursuing. Santa left this jigsaw puzzle under our tree this year, and hubby and I started it a couple of days ago.

It's funny - because as we got kind of close to finishing it, we said to each other, "there aren't enough pieces here..." but there were, almost. Except one.

We spread the table span, thinking maybe it had dropped in between the leaves, but it wasn't there. We moved the table, thinking it was under the pedestal. Nope. And just when we were convinced that it really was destined to remain unfinished we found it. Upside down, on the floor. Same color as the tile so it was practically invisible.

Tom offered to let me be the one to put it in, but I declined. He needed the win.

We'll leave it on the table for a couple of days, just to enjoy it, but eventually it'll go back in the box and we'll pass it on to someone else to play with.

It was fun. Beats watching television anyway...
