I am very glad I went back to check out this card. Beyond all of the beauty of this card, what type of adhesive did you use? I made a card and used a cheaper glue and the inside buckled.
Family tree is fantastic!! I see now how you used some of the mirror paper. I can't wait to get down to my studio. I just had surgery on my left knee so I can't do stairs yet. But, between you and me, I'm gonna sneak down there some time tomorrow morning.
Your tag is one of the most gorgeous tags ever!! Absolutely love every little piece of it, and the detailing of it also. What did you use the Tonic Studios mirror card on? I have a pack of it and didn't know what to do with it. Oh by the way I love spending time in your gallery, nice job.
Absolutely Stunning!! Love all your thought out detail in what you create!! Love your work!! Glad your reaching out and whether she remembers or not the Love you put into this will shine through. Hugs
Each word in your description above is just perfect. I admire the patience you have in not only in making a beautiful card, listing each product used and the the very detailed thoughts behind your work of art!
Okay so this is the front of the accompanying art tag. The tag itself was cut on my Cricut Pro Air in three pieces: the back, the core and the front. I distress inked the front with Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet before I glued everything together. The plaque is Tim Holtz's Word Band. I then used the die that matched the stencil that I had used on the rest of the card out of Sizzix' Tim Holtz Alterations Mixed Media #2 collection. I then glued the tag together. I used a dauber to apply Tim's Victorian Velvet into the die cut. Then using my Zig 2 Way Glue pen I glittered just the die cut with Martha Stewarts fine glitter in Crystal. The gold glossy paper is Tonic Studios Mirror Card Paper Pack: Metallic Gloss cardstock. The die cuts are Spellbinders Opulent Ovals. The spoon is from Tim Holtz's Silverware Adornments pack. I used Prills and a mix of random beads from my stash. This technique and embellie was inspired by Joyceker's Enjoy tag. Then I glued down all the embellishments. The ribbon is silk embroidery ribbon from my stash. The gold leaves were cut on my Cricut Pro Air out of Cricut's pearl paper. The pink rose and gold berries are from Prima's Heaven Sent 2 Collection: Ashby flower pack. The other flowers came from either TheShabbyHorseCafe on Etsy or mulberrycrafts2012 on Ebay. The owl is a button snap that I imported from China (yes I'm one of those people) last month. Then a little bit of cheese cloth was applied. The other charm and bead are from my hoard. Then I topped it off with Prills.
