I do not know how this beautiful thing escaped my notice this month, but my gosh, Vivian, this is specTACular. I love Lindy's products, and you've used them to great effect here. That copper embossing powder may have to make its way into my cart next time I go shopping at Lindy's store. I love the deep blue base paper, the softened torn edges, the white goopy snow, and all the beautiful individual snowflakes. Gorgeous project. Fave.
This is beautiful! It definitely fits the Play category. he may just be standing there, but for a teenager (boy or girl) to be involved with family snow play in any way, is a great thing!! Glad your exchange visit was a good experience.
I hosted two foreign exchange students several years ago. This young man was my first one and still the one we keep in touch with. He was "all teen" and "all boy". This year was the first of a brutal winter where temps got down in the negatives (rare for Southern Indiana). And, we got a lot of snow and snow days. So here we are, all outside and he's texting and scrolling on his phone and has no gloves on. Then begins to complain about how cold his hands are. *insert eye roll here* No worries though, he still played with his "little brother", but I made him put on a pair of my gloves which were too small. We loved him anyway! And he taught me a lot about teenagers and how they wanted to be treated. I know this photo is not really "playing" or "sporty" but if we all know our teens, this pretty much sums up a good "play day". I "magically" happen to meet the twists for the Sport and Play challenge. I used Lindy's stamp embossing powders Cleopatra Copper (definitely has a bronze look to it) and Silver Moon Mistletoe on the snowflakes. Most of this layout is made using the scrapbook kit, Winter Adventures, from International Scrapbook Garden. Details at www.viviansdesk.blogspot.com
