This layout is for Dana Tate's November/December color challenge - "White"

******DISCLAIMER******

It is my hope that this layout does not offend anyone in any way! This is a pic of my mom (right) in the late 1980's, during a time when President Bush (father) was in office, and Roe v Wade was once again a "Hot Topic" in D.C. - Hidden journaling (Taped to the back of layout) reads:

Mom,
When you told me you were going to Washington to march with the National Organization for Women, I was so very proud of you. It didn't matter to me which side of the Roe v Wade argument you supported; What mattered was that you were standing up for what you believed in. Your concern for ALL women really touched my heart - You explained to me that we should never go back to illegal abortion; That women were risking their lives in the hands of incompetent "butchers" and you recalled the many young girls/women who were found dead as a result of a septic abortion during the 1950's and 1960's.
Thank you for teaching me to always stand up for what I believe in ~
You are my HERO!
Love,
Barbara
