Photo of my hubby when he was in the U S Navy, he was a submarine sailor and I enjoyed going along for the ride as we moved 11 times in 7 years. His crew were under the water for 2 months and I gave him something to open each day, maybe a magazine, candy whatever I could think of. The sub guys were given steak and lobster, all the good stuff in the beginning of their tour. Of course they eventually had to eat powdered eggs and no fresh vegetables.They drank Kool-Aid and the dispenser was never emptied so they just added more and it got so dark they called it "bug juice", yum!
We had a limited number of communiques that were not private and I got in trouble when I simply said "lick, lick", this was in the late 60's, early 70's so boy have things changed! He was able to grow a beard because Admiral Zumwalt deemed it so, but I loved his beard anyway!
I sprayed the delusions London blue, adding a little water and mixed in the Summer Sky to get the bg design.
