I like your choice of the checkered paper and then embossing the red with stars. This is so stinkin' cute with that adorable skunk!! The sketch looks good flipped!
This card is for the Feb 2018 Card Sketch Challenge. The sketch inspiration is # 2. I did flip it of course. The skunk was stamped an heat embossed with black ink and embossing powder on a dark charcoal cardstock. I then fussy cut the areas that were supposed to be white and backed it with white cardstock of course. the stamp set used for the skunk and the sentiment are by Hero Arts and from the Woodland Creatures stamp set. Except for the backing, all the other papers were scraps. The chevron pp is from Teresa Collins Hello My Name Is 6 x 6 collection. The red paper is by American Crafts and is from the Christmas collection. That strip was embossed with stars by embossing folder by The Paper Studio. I used a 2" scalloped circle punch by EK Success. The heart is punched by a Paper Shapers punch also by EK Success. The fiber on this is paper twine from Tim Holtz.
