Saw this technique on youtube and had to try it. Used my distress inks, then the darker colors around the outer rim, then the fun part. Put a TAD bit of water in your palms, clap over the project and it makes all these nice small splashes. Wait 20-30 seconds, then press (not wipe) with paper towel, to remove the water and thereby some ink. Dry completely. Then mix white acrylic paint with a little water and flick with a toothbrush, to make the tiny stars. For the moon, I didn't have the moon stamp so I just used my large hole punch with water color paper, then used my black soot oxide ink to make the moon look, inked the edges with regular black ink and pop dotted it. Sentiment stamped with silver metallic embossing powder. This was soooo much fun and it was so cool to see how the various colors added a depth, even though most of the colors were covered up with the chipped sapphire and black soot. Happy Valentines week, everyone!
