Old Photo of my mama and her brother. I used EP papers. The lacy border was cut with a spellbinder die (it's a six inch die that I had to move to cut across the 12"). The tree is hand drawn on Kraft paper and cut out with scissors. I also colored the Kraft paper with various Copic markers to make it look more like a tree. The leaves are some really old leaves from my stash (I think they are mulberry paper leaves). I cut the 1927 with the Cameo and layered it 4 times for dimension. The flowers are die cuts from Memory Box. I added a few die cut leaves around the blooms. The journaling is sandwiched between the word paper and the background green stripe. To make the pull tab, I punched a half circle with a circle punch, then punched about 4 circles from the red paper, cut them in half and layered them for dimension. I attached the journaling to the half circle and slid it between the two layers. The thickness of the pull tab makes it stop...and also makes it easier to pull out. I added some pearl Nuvo drops to the numbers and the strips above and below the title work. Journaling reads:

Don’t know much about this photo, except that it was taken in 1927. It’s a photo of my mama (Ruth Pace Perdue) with her older brother, Rufus. Sometimes I’m amazed at the photos from that long ago. I guess I didn’t realize that there would be “snapshots” of everyday things and not just the standard posed group photos. Look at that adorable hat my mama is wearing…and of course, there are the cotton stockings she was always required to wear! Don’t know where this photo was taken, but that’s my grandmother’s (Ola Catherine Susan Pace) handwriting on the top and bottom of the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
