What a sweet card, Claire!!! Love all your technique work and that is such a pretty house die!! Love the embossing, flower, key and keyhole!! Well done!
Congratulations card for a family member on their new house. I die-cut the sweet little house from deep teal cs and outlined its edges with a copper foiling pen. Then I attached a small photo of the couple from the back, centered on the 'window.' I cut a 7x5" piece of dark-chocolate-colored cardstock, a slightly smaller piece of copper mirror-board and a smaller-still piece of pearly aqua cs. I dry-embossed the aqua cs with a pretty Sizzix folder and then heat-embossed it with the 'congratulations' sentiment in Ranger's Super Fine Copper embossing powder. I adhered the 'house' to the aqua cs with 1/4" Skor tape, then attached the antique-copper escutcheon (keyhole) brad and the matching key, which dangles from a bit of twisted craft wire, covered with a mulberry-paper flower. I adhered the aqua layer to the copper mirror board with lots of 1/4" Skor tape, then backed the mirror board with craft foam, cut to size, and attached it to the brown, slightly textured cs. Voila! Happy house!
