This is a layout of my dad with me and my brother. I was about 8 in this photo and we were at Kangaroo Valley I believe. I love this photo of me and my dad. it depicts me looking up to him as I have always done in my life. He is a born leader and naturally a tower of strength. Despite the hard knocks he has had to go through - my brother and sister, work and now the ongoing skin cancer issues, he is a tower of strength.
I created this for the Anything goes challenge where this week we had to do a vintage layout from the gallery, use our counterfeit kits only, choose one word and do a form of cowboy poetry. I chose the lyrics from Paul Overton's - Seeing my father in me - Yeah, I'm seeing my father in me
I guess that's how it's meant to be
And I find I'm more and more like him each day
I notice I walk the way he walks
I notice I talk the way he talks
I'm startin' to see my father in me
And I'm happy to see my father in me!

as I feel these lyrics. I am the strength of my family. I keep powering on despite the hard knocks and I see my father's strength come out in me each and every day. If I continue to face life the way he has and does then I know I will be everything that he is and that's okay for me.

I scraplifted -

I also got to use my new clock die - Tim Holtz's weathered clock - I have been coveting this for a long time!
Thanks for looking.
