Terrific journaling. I know what you mean about meal prep - sometimes it can be so exhausting even if you love doing it. I also know what you mean about the weight loss roller coaster. Lost 40 pounds about 4 years ago and kept it off until this past year. Gained back 20 and I'm SO MAD at myself! Maybe we can keep each other motivated through this thread. It helPs to know that you've done it before and CAN DO IT AGAIN! GO MELISSA!

Journaling This will be the third time that I’ve attained my Weight Watchers goal. Each time I had to loose between 45 and 27 pounds. This time it is the 27 pounds. Can three times be the charm? Will I manage to keep it off this time? At least my trigger point of saying enough is enough is getting less each time.
I began this recent journey of weight loss on November 12, 2006. I write being down 11 pounds as of this morning. Once I make up my mind I am fortunate enough that I loose the weight steadily and I never feel deprived. In all honesty healthy foods really are my favorite foods. I put weight on by getting lazy with my meal preparations. Solely because cooking healthy foods takes time and planning. Chopping veggies, defrosting meat, etc. can’t be done on a drop of a dime but throwing in a processed meal or running to a fast food chain can. This is my BIGGEST OBSTACLE to overcome. That is why my New Year’s resolution is not only to reach my goal but to still be wishing 5 pounds of it on December 31, 2007.
To be successful I must remember to treat myself on occasion. To not do so builds up resentment and brings back old bad habits which in turn will bring back pounds. However two sayings are important for me to adopt as my mantras to keep me on track –
Everything in moderation! H.A.L.T. – am I hungry, angry, lonely, thirsty or tired?
