A special card for a special lady. I knew this card would include many new (to me) techniques and I was really apprehensive to start it but, as the birthday loomed large on the horizon, I just bit the bullet and dove in. I'm glad I did; I learned a lot, although frequently from my mistakes! Here is the process I used:

Stamp the greenery in multiple positions on the watercolor cs, which is cut to size for an A2 front panel;
Make a mask of the greenery to use later;
Stamp the flower on a separate piece of watercolor cs;
Create a mask of the flower and stamp it again, in a different position, over the first one;
Hand-color all with watercolor markers;
Use the mask to cover the stamped greenery and splatter the base panel with water-diluted alcohol ink;
Cut out the double-stamped flower on a Brother Scan 'n Cut (I don't enjoy fussy-cutting and I'm not good at it);
Create the sentiment panel on the computer, print and trim, back it onto plain white cs;
Adhere the flowers and the sentiment to the base over cut-to-size sheet foam;
Adhere the whole base to the card front over sheet foam;
Embellish with various-size sequins.

And here are the product I used: Canson Cold Press, 140 lb/300g Watercolor Paper (cs); VersaFine Onyx Black inkpad; Altenew Beautiful Day clear stamp set; Zig Clean Color Real Brush watercolor markers; 80 lb. Via Smooth White cs (sentiment & backing); Adirondack Alcohol Ink in Latte. Neat & Tangled sequins - Sherbet Mix.

I was mostly pleased with the end result, although there are some things I would do differently next time, after some practice. The most important thing is that the Birthday Girl liked it! That makes my heart happy. :o)
