I actually HAVE that acetate piece somewhere -- or I did at one point. It's very cool. I love the black and white base concept here, done up with the random splotches of color. I like the way - kind of the same concept as Teresa did - that you did the generations on either side of you. You are THERE - behind the camera - but it's a full circle sort of sense of the bookending of generations ... You can see where you're been, and you can see where you're going. Your history and your future as it were. Good on your grandma. She sounds like a visionary of her time. :-)
I wouldn't have a clue what to do with those busy black and white background papers X2 but you worked it out! It's just beautiful! I really enjoyed reading your story behind the lo and I love that Oprah quote. I may borrow it!
Beautiful page Kathy and I love your notes! That is an awesome movie. We saw it in the theater on a cruise ship. I bribed Bill with popcorn to see it with me, and I told him if he didn't like it, we would leave. He loved it and we watched it all the way through.
This is a layout of my mum and my daughters. These are 4 very important women in my life. They may never be movers or shakers of the world but they are important and in their own way are forging changes for the better. Mamma Mia was perfect for this photo challenge on Anything Goes. Just like Donna my mum was a 17 year old mum admittedly she married my dad at my Grandmother's insistence but she was 6 month pregnant before it happened. I thank my GRandmother who was a mover and shaker for that every day, My mum stayed home until I was thirteen then she went back to work and worked her way up to Personal Assistant for a very influential family. She taught me my work ethic and for that I am ever grateful. Now I have passed that to my children and my girls are learning to make the tough decisions to be leaders not followers and to do what is best for them not what everyone else expects them to do - Just like Sophie in Mamma Mia. I used the quote - “Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.” ~ Oprah Winfrey and embedded it into the calendar at the top. I used Robins (RobandTim2) layout - You and me -
that was featured on the front page for my inspiration.
It is gong to also be entered into the CSI case file 250 where I used olive green, bright red, teal blue, clock and birds, string, brown, hand drawn elements as my clues. It will also go into scraplift your favourites. For the anything goes challenge I used my counterfeit kit only and I met a daily with use an acetate piece on your page. Thanks for looking.
