I decided to do a project with handmade flowers and I challenged myself to use only patterned paper- no solids. I used Maja Designs Vintage Romance paper. I also used some architectural elements that I made with paper clay. The flowers were very fussy. The gerbera daisy has 48 separate striped petals and a total of 56 pieces. Of course you can't do striped petals unless you cut them individually. The second photo shows a side view so you can see the relief. The hydrangeas each have 46 separate pieces. I used liquid pearls to make the centers of the florets. I didn't realize how large it was until I finished- about 12x7 including the lace. This was a really fun project to make.

Thank you for looking!
