This is really beautiful - I love how you did the flowers going around the left, and left all that "white space" on the right! (so hard to do LOL!) Love the clockface too! Everything is so pretty and eyecatching :)
A remarkable photo & I actually love the tintype look... You've scrapped it so well with the pop of pastels against the dark paper; your clock and your dragonfly are the perfect embellies for this gorgeous page!!!
This is an old, old photo that I found in some of my mama's photos. I used Basic Grey Cappella papers. The key and dragonfly, and the word "family" are old embellies from my stash. I cut the clock face from some brown paper with a die. The "life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful" strips are from TH strips. The flowers circling the photo are a print and cut from the Silhouette store. The green border is a MS punch. I added faux stitching in white around the edges of the dark background. Some of the flowers are popped up. Journaling is tucked behind the striped paper and reads:
I found this old, old photo in some of my mama's things and scanned it into my computer. It was so dark and almost like a tintype photo. I worked on it for several hours trying to clean it up so that you could see a little about it. It appears to be a photo of my grandfather, grandmother, and some of my mama's older siblings. I believe that is my great grandfather, Doc Mitchell Pace in the foreground. I have no idea where this house was located, but I would guess somewhere in Georgia, since that is where my mama's family lived for a number of years. There appears to be a lady off to the left on the photo, but it could be just a shadow. Anyway, this photo is a perfect example of why we should scrapbook or at least document the who, what, when, and where a photo was taken. (~Circa early 1900's) Thanks so much for stopping by!
