I found this card design online a while ago and thought it made for the most perfectly beautiful sympathy card I'd ever seen. It is simple and elegant and, to my eye, has a perfect balance of texture and color while not being overly somber.
The crafter of this particular design had CASEd most of it from a previous poster who had included more stamped images on the card. I prefer this clean and simple version myself.
Of course, I proceeded to unabashedly CASE it, as well. For those who may not know, CASE = Copy And Share Everything, the online crafters' creed, to which I wholeheartedly subscribe. I will gladly share any and all info about the items I craft, should anyone want to know. I think sharing creativity just generates more of the same.
Unfortunately, I have need of a special sympathy card for some good friends this week. This design is a perfect fit.
Here are the supplies I used: • Cardstock: 80 lb. Via Smooth White, 65 lb. Recollections Black • Emb. Folder: Cuttlebug/ProvoCraft ‘Leafy Branch' (discontinued) • Image: Penny Black Stickeroos, ‘Promise of Spring' • Stamp: Sorry, no mfr. info - misc. clear sympathy sentiments on acetate sheet • Ink: Versamark • Emb. Powder: SU silver • X-acto Craft Knife
