Photo of my mama sometime around 1945. This is a special layout because tucked behind the light colored mat is a handwritten account of how my parents met and how quickly they fell in love. They met November 9, 1945 and were married on December 7, 1945...just four short weeks and they were married for 54 1/2 years!

I used K&Co (Classic K Mckenna) papers for this layout. I used a MS punch for the scalloped edges. I cut 1/8 inch strips to edge the background. The flowers were cut from another piece of the paper. The handwritten story was adhered to the strip across the top and tucked behind the large mat. I added a bit of faux stitching and some NUVO drops to finish it off. I also added some sparkle to the the flowers but it doesn't show up in the photo.
