What a cool layout!! Love your handmade flowers and "lace" around the heart! Your book page is awesome and vintage looking!! Great use of recycled goodies!!
This is absolutely amazing. I love everything. The colours, the dictionary page, the flowers and butterfly. A fabulous page and very inspirational. Worked out brilliantly.
WOW - fantastic layout. Love all the layering and embellishments. Those black flowers are beautiful. Love all the details in this layout. Beautiful work.
So much eye candy on this!! Love your flowers and your lace visual around the large heart!! This is amazingly dark and feminine with a splash of gorgeous thrown in!
That was a FANTASTIC paper line, and it's just great to see it worked up in today's scrappy style with a signature Cheryl technique or two. I agree - having seen what you were trying to do, I can understand why you ended up swapping out the photos, and this one definitely wanted to live on this page. I love all the tears which are revealing the patterns and textures underneath. You really are the queen of layers! ::sigh:: Now I wish I still HAD some of that paper. I'd SO be doing a lift of this one in a shameless copycat kind of way. I will definitely be participating in the recycle challenge - I just hope that my life allows me some scrap time at some point this week!
Funny thing about this page...when I first started making the base to this page, I honestly wasn't liking it and I was trying to scrap another photo with this paper which wasn't exactly working out, so I set it aside and worked on something totally different. I am so glad I did because when I came back to work on this page, I ended up loving the end result! I changed out the photo for this senior picture I took of Jasmine (taken in November 2017), which went perfect with these colors. I was able to use a bunch of Recycled items on this page as well.
This challenge is challenging you to use recycled materials or to reuse items that you can repurpose to create a layout or project in honor of Earth Day this month. Your layout/project must have at least 25% or more recycled & reused items/materials. (There will be a RAK for the winner at the end of the month.)
I used cardboard, coffee filters, screen door, a page from an old dictionary, a button from old jeans, a penny, a charm from a bookmark and another charm from a keychain. I would say, at the very least, about 50% of my page qualifies for Recycled/Reused materials.
These two black flowers are handmade from coffee filters and the other one was out of a screen door. There were a lot of curse words, some blood and even a couple of tears shed while making them. I love how they turned out, but not sure if I will be a big fan on making a whole lot more. LOL!
But if you would like a tutorial on how to make either one or how to make "lace" around a heart from paper, please let me know.
