I think this might be my fave of your gallery entries, which says a lot because you have so many beautiful pieces. Love everything about this. Your love for her is shining through!
This card is so beautiful. Darn it...my birthday isn't until October. Hahaha! The sea creatures are so pretty and I like the sand. the water coloring on the background is so well done. This card is a keeper!
How wonderful!!!! The watercolor background, the beautifully colored die cuts, the texture of beads and embossing powder, the lengths of twine all come together to make a uniquely gorgeous card!!!!
The attention, care and love you put into this amazing card is evident. The techniques you used are awesome! Especially the outstanding sand dollar with its wonderful texture. Your granddaughter will be so thrilled with this incredibly beautiful card. How exciting that you will be there to celebrate her special day!
Oh ML, I love this and your granddaughter will too. I love how you created sand with the embossing powder. And the effect with the pencil eraser is so cool. I'm pinning this, I think it is phenomenal.
Ok, what I just said about the need for smelling salts goesntripple for this one. Love your diecuts. Beautifully done. Your colors and background are perfect and I love the way you made the two seahorses different colors. Love, love, love.
Oh my stars, is there a card you can't make or a technique you haven't mastered! This is amazing; love the seahorses, sand dollar and twine. As my son says, 'This is a keeper!'
Something new for you ML. Great card. O/T I have a used book I bought in the 80's in CA and I was looking at it today and the owners name was the same as yours. I thought of you and sent you blessings.
My sweet Meggie is having a birthday in May & I am so excited because I will be in VA to help her celebrate! She loves anything to do with the ocean. I spent many hours on this & I hope my GD loves it!:)
I used two layers of watercolor paper that I inked & flicked with water. The circles were made with a pencil eraser. Both the sand dollar & seahorses were painted with gesso & while the sand dollar was still wet I sprinkled with embossing powder & inked the edges, The seahorses were inked & then I added crackle & inked again. My crackle is old so it didn't crackle real well, but I like the effect. I added beads from Joann's, bakers twine, & some Glossy Accent. I really do appreciate all the luvs & votes sweet ones! Hugs~Marylou
