Sharing the pocket letter I made for Carri for this month's swap here on sb.com. We could choose our own theme this month and I decided to put my Mason jar die to use that I've had for quite awhile!

I am entering this into four different challenges:

1. Spellbinders - I Spy Die Cutting - Using my Mason Jar die, Fantastic Flourish die - pocket 1, butterfly die - pocket 2 and 5, leaf die - pocket 8 and Carri's name on the side.

2. Scrap With Your Scraps. This entire pocket letter was made from scraps of Graphic 45's Botanical Tea Collection...and I do mean scraps!! Many were just big enough to get the background and to cut the jars and lids. I only have one full sheet of that collection left. The twist was to use at least five scraps and I can safely say I used many more than five!!

3. Use Your Stamps - I stamped "Hi" in pocket 1, music bar and bird in pocket 3, "friend" and leaf in pocket 6, the butterfly in pocket 8 and the gold doily under the bling in pocket 9. All were stamp embossed. Twist: Spring Flowers

4. April Die Cutters Challenge hosted by Gentlewood Farms. Refer to #1 for die cuts used.

I die cut my jars first, then the lids. After that I chose my background papers and dry embossed them using my Darice Vine Pattern EF. I sanded the raised edges on pocket 3 and the rest I inked directly from the pad with TH Spun Sugar, Faded Jeans, Vintage Photo and Aloe Vera Dew Drop.

Special thanks to Carri, Marylou, Karin, Laura and Donna for some of the goodies I used on here!

Pocket 1 Tutu Pink mini prills from Carri and the flourish die cut from Laura.
Pocket 2 butterfly die cut from Laura and gold microbeads from Reneabouquets.
Pocket 3 prills from Marylou and lace under the jar lid from Donna.
Pocket 4 ivy vine from Reneabouquets
Pocket 6 and 7 Waterfall and Seafoam stickles from Carri, Hot Mama prills from Marylou, and Friend stamp from Karin.

Pocket 7 Hot Mama prills from Marylou. I also used stickles on the hummingbirds I fussy cut and attached to the outside of the pocket letter.

A few of the laces I colored up by stamping TH distress ink pads onto my craft sheet, squirting a bit of water and then rubbing the laces around in the colored ink and heat drying. The key on the left was an antique gold color that I used turquoise, cinnabar and sandstone patina on.

I have posted close-ups for seeing detail a little better.
Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery!
