Photo of my parents...not sure of the year, but probably late '80s or early '90s. My mama was always our "barber". I used some old Cosmo Cricket papers from my stash. I used a red card stock for the backing, then cut the background paper in three pieces and added them to the red card stock (I only did that because I cut the wrong paper when I started! LOL!) The title work was created in the Silhouette program as was the barber poll with "free haircuts" I added two punched borders with an old MS punch and added some faux stitching in several places. I made the "memories that make me smile" tag in Word and the "makes me happy" tag is from some very old Daisy D stickers. The little smiley faces are something that came as a "gift" when I ordered something. Journaling is tucked behind the panel that the title work is adhered to (I layered the title work three times to make it pop off the page). Journaling reads:

Mama was definitely the family barber. She had no formal training for cutting hair, but she cut my hair as long as I lived at home. Even after I left home I would ask Mama to cut my hair when I came home to visit. I followed in her footsteps too. The first time I remember cutting hair was when my younger sister, Karen, asked me to cut her hair one afternoon after school. Her hair was halfway down her back and she told me she wanted it short...so, that's what I did. I cut it up above her ears! It was actually a decent haircut (considering I was only about 15), but I can't say that Mama thought it was wonderful. Mama was so mad at me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
